It was built for the Harper Trust as a school hall in ‘Free Tudor’ style and from the beginning has been considered to be a notable landmark in the town, featuring in guidebooks and postcards. The impressive Grand Hall benefits from high ornate ceilings, has beautiful period features and provides a stunning and unique backdrop for a wedding ceremonies, wedding celebrations and special functions.

At the Venue Hub we are pleased to offer a diverse range of classrooms, meeting rooms and boardrooms for hire. These rooms all benefit from natural daylight and cater for a wide range of capacities. They are ideal for corporate events, meetings and presentations.
The rooms are set up in a variety of different styles to suit your needs. The majority benefit from ceiling-mounted projectors, interactive smartboards and Wi-Fi accessibility. Individual computers are also available in some classrooms.
If you a looking for a bigger room, why not hire one of our student cafes? Our two attractive cafes are versatile spaces that are ideal for informal gatherings and meetings and are frequently used by clubs and associations.
Day delegate rates and packages, including refreshments and lunches, are available from £25 per person. Alternatively, rooms can be booked on an hourly, half day or full day basis.

Light and airy, with mirrored walls and wall bars, our Dance Studio at Cauldwell Street is the perfect space for barefooted dance and performing arts activities. This roomy studio is equipped with AV equipment and benefits from changing rooms conveniently located next door.

The smaller Arena Studio nearby can be hired out for tap dancing and other activities. With its wooden floors and bars it provides a useful rehearsal space.

Over at Trinity Arts and Leisure, our Multifunction Room has a sprung floor, mirrored walls and ballet bars and serves a variety of purposes. It plays host to our regular fitness classes from low impact yoga to high intensity spinning.

Our 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool is open throughout the year for public use. We run our highly popular learn to swim programme ‘School of Fish’ and Aqua Aerobics classes in the pool and also offer private hire including children’s parties.

We use an ultraviolet system to clean the water, allowing us to reduce the amount of chlorine, ensuring a more pleasurable swim.

For your convenience we offer Pay as You Go options, Multipasses and Quarterly memberships, as well as concessional rates.

Children’s Parties

Celebrate with your child in style with a birthday party at Trinity Arts and Leisure!

Previous celebrations have included swimming pool parties, inflatables parties and discos, all using the Trinity Arts & Leisure facilities.

Although all bookings are completely flexible to the needs of the individual, most parties have a similar structure of one hour of activity followed by one hour of party food and games. The flexibility of our facilities means that different ages and interests can be catered for.

For Swimming pool parties we have two options available to the hirer. All bookings automatically include qualified lifeguards who will supervise all pool users. If you wish to book a pool party with activities organised by an extra member of staff then this can also be arranged.

We also hire out our Sports Hall for activities such as football, zorb football, netball, volleyball, badminton and inflatables. Most parties then move to the Café, Gallery, Theatre or Multi-Function Room where tables and chairs are arranged for food and party games. The use of the extra room for one hour after the pool or sports party is included in the price of the party.

All food and drink is to be provided by the hirer.

Prices start from £70.00 for sports hall parties and £130.00 for swimming pool parties.

Our Gym at Trinity is a relaxed, informal place to exercise and holds an extensive collection of cardiovascular equipment and weights.
Designed with you in mind, gym access options are flexible and include Pay as You Go or Multi Passes. After an induction with a member of staff, you are free to use the gym at any time during our normal opening hours. Please note we operate a strict Health & Safety policy for the use of the gym.

Open to the public on evenings and weekends, the theatre at Trinity Arts & Leisure is a fully functioning professional set up.

With fully retractable tiered seating, the Theatre seats up to 156 people, has a cinema sized projection screen, high definition projector, wireless internet access and stereo sound.
Hirers with the relevant PASMA licenses are able to adjust lighting rigs, whilst the sound system is able to play sound from CDs. The Theatre can also be used for fitness classes and parties.

Meanwhile our spacious, state of the art Studio Theatre at Cauldwell Street has hosted numerous performances and is fully equipped with retractable seating, technical lighting, a professional sound system and digital mixing desks, all of which can be accessed when hiring an approved Venue Hub Technician.

Our £6 million South Bank Arts Centre has a wide range of facilities available for hire including fully equipped Recording Studios and Editing Suites, a TV studio and various spaces ideal for holding workshops, meetings, rehearsals and performances.

The two Recording Studios each boast a 24 channel mixing desk, an array of high-end outboard pre-amps and effects and a wide-ranging palette of microphones able to accurately capture your performance in the acoustically treated live rooms. The Edit Suite is perfect for editing and mixing or small scale recordings. All three suites feature Mac Pros running Logic Pro X, Avid Pro Tools and all have NI's Komplete Ultimate installed.

The Television Studio
Our spacious TV Studio is equipped with three independent curtains for black, white or green backdrops. The green curtain is perfect for use as a green screen for Chroma keying in conjunction with the dimmer-controlled lighting grid installed on fixed ceiling bars. There is enough space if you wish to bring your own portable infinity curve/ green screen and stand mounted lights or simply to rehearse and shoot in a professional environment.
