The unique historical venue of Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet is now available to host Civil Wedding Ceremonies.
There are three stunning unique spaces at the Hamlet that are licensed for the ceremony:
The Tilt Hammers
The Undercroft
The Learning Centre
Each with different capacities, from a select 10 guests in the Tilt Hammers, the more encompassing Undercroft which can seat 30 guests and the Learning Centre with a capacity of 80, each offers a different wedding experience.
The site can be hired for 3 or 4 hours depending on which of our options you choose, to include: time before the ceremony for guests to arrive and the wedding couple to meet the Registrar, the ceremony, time after the ceremony to enjoy some light refreshments, enjoy the surroundings and to take the all important photographs.
Although licensed for ceremonies there is a historic covenant applied to the Hamlet which prohibits alcohol from being allowed on the site. This, combined with the limited space in the buildings, means that we are unable to host receptions and parties. However, we can still offer a sumptuous range of canapes or a genteel traditional English Tea accompanied with non alcoholic refreshments.
