Treak Cliff Cavern in Castleton is famous throughout the world for its unique and large deposits of Blue John stone, and houses some of the most beautiful cave formations found in the UK.

Visiting is via a self-guided audio tour using an App on your own Smartphone that uses Bluetooth beacons throughout the site, the narrative runs for about 45 minutes, and you can take your time as each booking is private/exclusive to you.
Tours are preferably booked online at www.bluejohnstone.com ,with entry time every 10 minutes. The cavern is open from 10a.m every day (except 24th, 25th, 26th December) and tours run until 4.00pm, (3.00pm between November 1st and February 28th).
