Rydal Hall offers a warm and friendly home from home in the heart of the English Lake District. There is a choice of 30 bedrooms inside the main house, most are en-suite, three have private facilities and two adjoining rooms share facilities. We also have a range of accommodation within our idyllic 34 acre site including a youth centre, campsite, self-catering cottage and three eco-pods.

Rydal Hall is owned and operated by the Diocese of Carlisle. Our main aim is to promote and support the Christian Faith through conferences, events and retreats in and beyond the Diocese. We have a distinctively Christian ethos which underpins the provision of excellent service and hospitality to all, and in our relationships with our partners, the local community and suppliers.

We warmly welcome other groups and individuals to use and enjoy Rydal Hall, its gardens and tea shop. This helps us to become self-financing and allows us to share our Christian ethos and beautiful surroundings with a wider audience. We welcome conference guests, families, youth groups, couples – in short anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in one of the UK’s finest beauty spots.
