Named after the Roman God of Harvest, the Ceres Hall is an ideal venue for concerts, conferences and larger wedding receptions.
Opened in 1857, the Corn Exchange was originally a covered market where cereals were traded. At it's heart is the Ceres Hall, which is the largest and most versatile of the rooms seating up to 400 people theatre style and 200 for a sit down banquet.
The Ceres Hall houses a full stage with blackout facilities making it an ideal venue for conferences, exhibitions, breakfast meetings, dinner dances, concerts and road shows.

The Merchants Suite located in the basement of the Corn Exchange features a nightclub which is open every Friday and Saturday evening to 2.00am.
During the week it is available for hire as a conference venue for meetings, training and as a syndicate room.
In the evening it lends itself to product launches, fashion shows and private parties along with live entertainment in the form of cabarets, "open mic" nights, comedy and jazz nights, race nights and themed events.
