Unfortunately we are not able to offer any catered meals for families or individual travellers at YHA Keswick from 1st April 2016 to 30th September 2016 due to the extensive flood damage. We are working closely with our contractors to ensure there is access to facilities including kettles, a microwave, toaster, fridge and a small amount of food storage space.

This town centre Youth Hostel has excellent access to the North Lakes Fells, and easy access to the amenities of this busy tourist town. For cycling, the hostel is perfectly placed on long distance routes the Coast 2 Coast and End to End and for roadies, Honister Newlands and Whinlatter Passes are close by as well as the family friendly Railway Trail to Threlkeld.

Overlooking the River Greta and Fitz Park with far reaching views to Latrigg and Skiddaw, YHA Keswick has small rooms with 2-6 beds. There is also a first floor lounge with veranda. Less than five minutes' walk to town centre and less than ten minutes' walk to the Lake, YHA Keswick is ideally places for days out.

Take the launch across Derwentwater and climb Catbells before an evening stroll through the town to Friars Crag to enjoy the view down the lake. The hostel also makes a great base for a walk up Skiddaw – the walk starts from just outside the hostel door! Near to leisure centre with pool and indoor climbing. Don’t miss the Pencil Museum and The Puzzling Place.
