Formerly the local school, which become a community centre in 1993 providing facilities for the local community d surrounding villages in Central North Cumbria. The centre has is its own car park, is fully accessible and provides 3 separate rooms a Main Hall, Tea room and meeting room all of which have access to a fully functional kitchen. There are a range of activities including, toddlers groups, Monthly Bingo, Monthly Lunch Club and quarterly quiz nights,regular coffee mornings. Several groups hire the main hall and several local independent businesses use the meeting room for private tuition,

George Moore Hall

The largest of our rooms at 6.5m x 19m, this room is ideal for parties, dances, table top sales and large meetings. We have 70 adult chairs and 65 children’s chairs of assorted sizes together with a variety of folding and solid tables. This room also holds a children’s ball pool which is available for parties.

This room is 6m x 7m and has recently been set up as a tea room with 24 chairs around 6 pine dining tables. Ideal as a function room on its own or as a side room for larger functions in the main hall. It is located close to the kitchen and also contains a large plate warmer cupboard. It can also be used for meetings.
