Roll for the Soul description
Commercial Venue
Medium (1-150)
Roll for the Soul is a not-for-profit café, bike workshop and event space. We celebrate and support people who do stuff with bikes, and DIY culture more generally. We’re a Community Interest Company and a living wage employer (and we don’t mean George Osborne’s made up ‘national living wage’), trying to make a positive contribution to Bristol.
Cafe
We offer good-quality, fairly-priced vegetarian and vegan food. Open from early morning, we serve a light breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as cakes, snacks and great locally-roasted coffee. We have a licensed bar, but anyone of any age is welcome. Click for more about the cafe.
Bike workshop
We have a fully-equipped bike workshop upstairs, offering servicing and repairs to all types of bike. We also sell a range of parts and accessories, some of which you can find downstairs in the cafe, and offer maintenance tuition designed around what you want to learn. As well as that, we provide bike hire and bike trailer hire. Click for more about the workshop.
Music and events
With the cafe downstairs and a flexible space upstairs, we host live music, exhibitions, meetings, workshops, fundraisers and lots of other events. We try to help other non-profits and voluntary groups with cheap or free space. Part of our mission is to provide a city centre space for non-corporate, grassroots activity. Click for more about live music. Click for more about venue hire.
