Our aim is to offer more to people coming to the library - and to bring more people in to use the resources and enjoy being there. If you haven't visited yet - come and see us!

We might not have wanted the change, but Leicestershire County Council has offered Rothley village a chance to keep the library open, and local people have taken up that offer. The council no longer pays for library staff, so if we had done nothing the library would have closed. But with the support of the county council, the library will go on doing everything it does now - free book loans to adults and children, computer use, wireless facilities and lots more. Council funding will continue for the first two years, then will tail off over the next five.
