Phoenix Cinema description

Historic Venue / Business Meeting Rooms / Hotel / Conference Centre / Party Venue

Large (1-300)

This gorgeous single-screen cinema in East Finchley can fairly claim to be London’s oldest continuously-open cinema: it was completed in 1910 and opened its doors in 1912. Since 1985 it has been run as a charitable trust and it retains strong links with the local community. Programme-wise, the Phoenix shows a mix of independent and foreign films, and its auditorium is rightly prized as one of the most beautiful places to watch a film in London.

The cinema can be hired for children's parties, birthdays or other celebrations, fundraising events, as a private screening venue or as a location for film or TV shoots.

“Myself and the rest of the crew thoroughly enjoyed working at the Phoenix Cinema last week. The staff were great and very helpful which contributed to the smooth running of the production process. The cinema itself was outstanding, aesthetically we couldn’t have asked for more! Overall, great shoot, great location and great staff!” - Premier League Preview
