Welcome to The Bell at Ramsbury
BE OUR GUEST
Our highly trained staff offer a warm and inviting greeting to guests and ensure that the visitor experience is exceptional. Whether visiting friends or family, a business traveller, enjoying a relaxing rural retreat, partaking in countryside pursuits or enjoying the gastronomic and culinary fare, your every need is catered for, without fuss and without compromise.
Newly refurbished and remodeled, The Bell at Ramsbury excels in offering an exquisite Modern British fine-dining experience in The Restaurant, lead by Head Chef Duncan Jones who comes to us from Marco Pierre White’s, The Yew Tree. The nine luxuriously adorned en-suite double bedrooms are all affectionately known by their game bird or freshwater fish names - the complete sanctuary for that overnight stay. The decoration is sensitive to its origins in its retention of all original features, and yet delivers a calming contemporary finish in soft furnishings, accessories and pampering touches. All the while, The Bell retains its approachable and friendly link as the heart of the village community through it’s Bar and continental cafe, Cafe Bella.
COUNTRY HOTEL, RESTAURANT & PUBLIC HOUSE
Experience the warm welcome as you enter The Bell at Ramsbury, the landmark 300-year-old former coaching inn proudly situated at the heart of Wiltshire’s ‘Best Kept Large Village 2011’.
Within 10 minutes, enjoy Marlborough, host to the world-famous seat of learning, Marlborough College, and with reputedly the widest high-street in Europe; browse an abundance of ladies fashion boutiques amongst a chic cafe-culture atmosphere. Equally near is Hungerford, your centre for countryside outfitters, the departure point for narrow boat excursions along the Kennet and Avon Canal or unearth that elusive treasure in one of the many antique shops.
It takes only 20 minutes to reach Newbury or Swindon for larger commercial retail outlets, and yet you can be in London’s West End in just over the hour.
Come in and welcome, relax by the fire and enjoy our hospitality ......
