Situated on the A4 between Hungerford and Newbury, the River Kennet chalk stream is crysal clear, and is ideal for all chalk stream fishing, be it chalk stream fly fishing, chalk stream brown trout fishing, chalk stream rainbow trout fishing or chalk stream coarse fishing after the chalk stream trout fishing season comes to an end.

For the chalk stream fly fishing we sell full season ticket rods, half season ticket rods and day ticket rods (Pre booking is essential) .

Nymph fly fishing and dry fly fishing are allowed all season.

From the 1st of October when the the chalk stream trout fishing season ends, we sell chalk stream coarse fishing on the River Kennet. (Pre booking is essential)

Bream, Roach, Dace, Perch, Pike, Grayling and Gudgeon are the species that can all be caught whilst chalk stream coarse fishing on the River Kennet.

The cost is £20.00 per day per person. We usually try to keep to 10 people per day with individual bookings.

Barton Court Fishery can be booked for the day by one individual at a total cost of £200 for up to 10 people, and for each additional person thereafter there will be a charge of £20 per person.

Amenities such as Toilet, Fishing Hut and Picnic Facilities are provided.

We also have a mature three acre Lake open to Day Ticket Anglers. The Lake is well stocked with quality Carp (common and mirror), Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Pike.
