Melmerby Hall is a Grade II listed mansion in the heart of the Eden Valley located close to the Lake District and set within its own extensive walled gardens. The earliest mention of Melmerby Hall dates back to the 1300s with the Hall extended and added onto a number of times over the last 700 years with notable additions including the Georgian Wing on the main front elevation, the Victorian Ballroom on the archery lawn garden (removed in the 1940s) and a more recently added Breakfasting Kitchen in the conservatory.

Melmerby Hall has been within the Rowley Estates for four generations and the recent renovations retain the character of this traditional country house including the oak panelled library, the dining room with an enormous stone fireplace, the Georgian drawing room with an open fire whilst accommodating modern use with newly refurbished ensuite facilities.

This large holiday house is walking distance from the award winning Village Bakery (great lattes & lots of gluten free choices as well as fresh bread, cakes and snacks), a welcoming village shop and tea room, a super antique shop (the Brocante Emporium) and the Pennine Fells. The shallow tributary of the River Eden running through its 20 acres of wooded grounds provides hours of fun for kids. Melmerby Hall is dog friendly and there is plenty of room in the grounds for them to run around!
