THE ESTATE
The name of Bloomsbury is well-known around the world for a variety of reasons. It is an area steeped in literary, cultural, artistic, educational and social history. The Bedford Estates has owned, developed and managed much of Bloomsbury since 1669. As a long term landowner, we are deeply committed to the area and its heritage, continually refurbishing and upgrading our properties to maintain and enhance their historic fabric while ensuring that they are fit for purpose in a 21st century context.

It is not only the historic buildings of Bloomsbury that make it what it is today, but also the open spaces around them. We are equally committed to the public realm of Bloomsbury and are strong supporters of all initiatives to enhance the public spaces for the benefit of all who use them, whether every day as a local resident or worker, or once in a while as a visitor.
