Grassmarket Centre is a fabulous, architecture award-winning, city centre location and social enterprise project within the heart of Edinburgh’s Grassmarket area, nestled at the foot of Candlemaker Row. Grassmarket Centre marries the historical Greyfriars Kirkhouse with a contemporary and fresh conference, events, musical performance and wedding reception venue.


All events are personalised around the individual needs of the client to maximise the impact of their event. Where catering is sought, bespoke menus can be devised by our versatile kitchen team, ranging from buffets to canapé receptions and a full dining experience.

Boasting a full theatre license the Grassmarket Centre is able to adapt itself to a variety of uses from ceilidhs to theatre spaces, wedding receptions to corporate away days and conferences. The hall is fully equipped with state of the art sound and lighting equipment and technical assistance can be provided.

Events are serviced with a well-integrated team of professionals and members from the Grassmarket Community Project and we have received outstanding feedback regarding how we facilitate this balance without compromising on the quality of service you should expect.
