Carlowrie Castle is one of Edinburgh’s most unique venues, a hidden gem on Edinburgh’s doorstep. The Castle mixes contemporary modern luxury within a traditional setting. Built in 1852, Carlowrie is privately owned by Andrew Marshall. His family are one of only 2 families to have lived in the castle and have been privileged to call it home.

The flexible ground floor rooms are the perfect setting for intimate gatherings, meetings and larger occasions. With 4 rooms on the ground floor, the Marble Room, Piano Room, Library Bar and the Orangery the Castle can host events up to 200 guests.

The Carlowrie Marquee is a fabulous new addition to the Estate with luxury hard-sided, glass fronted floor to ceiling windows and views across the lawn to the castle. Inside is a stunning marble-topped bar, boutique restrooms, crystal chandeliers and colour select led lighting that can be themed to any colour combination. The marquee can banquet up to 300 people and up to 450 for an evening reception or can be tastefully dressed for smaller numbers.

There are 9 luxury Guest rooms individually designed and decorated with original works by some of the world’s leading contemporary artists. The ensuite bathrooms feature handmade roll top baths, marble tiles, underfloor heating and walk-in showers. Duvets and pillows are filled with Hungarian goose down.
