If you’re looking for a rural setting for a marquee event within 30 minutes of Edinburgh, then come to Carfraemill. We’re on the edge of the glorious Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders – a stunning backdrop for weddings, meeting, parties and events. We can accommodate all sizes of events.

Fabulous food is so important for any gathering and we're passionate about creating simple and stunning menus. We work with some incredible local suppliers – what’s cooked in the Carfraemill kitchen largely comes from the farms, dairies, kitchens and waters of the Scottish Borders and nearby.

If you're looking for an even more remote marquee spot, you also have the exclusive option of heading up the hill a mile behind Carfraemill to our farm. The views up here are truly magnificent, stretching far down the valley over Lauderdale. In a marquee, teepee tent or even a yurt, your event will feature open skies and herds of sheep picking through the grass nearby. We can also provide a farm barn for you to style as you like, for example for a wedding ceremony or a family bbq.

Your guests can stay in our 10 beautifully-styled country lodge rooms and 2 hillside cottages.
