The Garden Barn - Marquee Venue description
Marquee Venue
Medium (1-150)
The Garden Barn is the ultimate venue for your wedding. It provides a totally unique and private location to enjoy your day.
It is now possible not only to hold your wedding reception at The Garden Barn but to actually get married here, as we have just been granted a licence to hold Civil Ceremonies. We are more than happy to help you with the planning of your wedding by providing you with information about everything that you might need to create a truly memorable day.
One of the very special things about The Garden Barn is the beautiful grounds that surround it. Picturesque parts of our gardens will be available to you for your wedding photographs whilst your guests can enjoy drinks in the garden or perhaps a game of croquet! Whether you want 40-100 close family and friends to celebrate your wedding with a special sit down meal or 140 for a less formal standing buffet then The Garden Barn is ideal for you. For larger parties it is possible to put up an adjoining marquee.
If you were considering a church wedding then we are incredibly lucky to have the most beautiful Grade 1 listed Saxon church in Little Bradley. All Saints Church, seats up to 70 people and is only 400 yards from The Garden Barn. There are also a host of other wonderful churches in the Stourhead Benefice which stretches from Kedington, near Haverhill, through the parishes of Great and Little Wratting, Barnardiston, Great and Little Thurlow through to Great and Little Bradley. For further information regarding the possibility of being able to get married in the church please contact the Rev Derek Hollis (RectorofStourhead@hotmail.co.uk).
In 2008 the rules on getting married in a particular church were simplified. Anyone who lives in or has a family link to the parish can marry there. For those living outside the area it is possible to marry there if you can create a qualifying connection by attending the church regularly for six months (there is a church service once a month in Little Bradley)
Civil Ceremonies are incredibly popular at The Garden Barn. Couples love to be married and have their reception all in the same place. Please contact Wendy Warren at Sudbury Registry Office on 01787 314050 if you are interested in finding out more about holding a Civil Ceremony.
