Set in the heart of historic parkland with far reaching views across the countryside Castle Hill is a magical place to make your wedding day your very own. Such is the scope of Castle Hill we offer a range of indoor and outdoor settings from woodland to garden and Temples.
A fairy tale location for your celebration or wedding. Ranging from the smallest of intimate ceremonies to the larger Marquee receptions and everything in between we have delivered them all. Castle Hill is family owned and managed and we are delighted to offer exclusive use for your wedding.
We work with local caterers renowned for first-class food and service providing hog roasts and afternoon teas to canapes and 3 course dinners. Good food is a vital ingredient of your big day and Castle Hill’s reputation for hospitality is second to none.
The stunning gardens are open to the public throughout the year, except for Saturdays. Wedding parties gain exclusive use of the gardens on the Saturday weddings. The 50 acres of historic parkland seat against the breath-taking 18th century Palladian Mansion house offer visitors the chance to experience some wondrous landscape in North Devon. Discover outstanding parkland and explore winding pathways, majestic terraces and beautiful woodland. Wander through ancient specimen trees along tranquil paths where 176 different magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas grown in abundance together with profusions of daffodils, bluebells and carpets of Devon Primroses. Meander beside tranquil waters and amongst spectacular mature planting.

The West Wing is a large space which can accomodate 120 seated at large round tables, with stunning views across the valley. The doors open on to the West Wing Lawn with a stunning fountain and perfect for a marquee which takes the capacity up to 300. There is a kitchen available on site for caterers.

A beautifully restored building nestled in the woodland and stunning views across the valley back to Castle Hill. The approach is a long tree lined private track, to the venue. The venue itself has imposing pillars at the front and a decidedly barn like feel inside. There are benches and tables available inside and space at the side and rear of the building for a marquee. Generators are required for additional power to lighting. There is a water supply.
Capacity for a wedding or meeting venue is 60 but with marquee this can increase to 100.
