Welcome to the Robin Hood, a friendly traditional Derbyshire Country Inn. Nestling below the gritstone edges of Birchen and Gardoms, we are surrounded by miles of open moorland and are within a mile from Chatsworth House. With ample free parking and walks right from the doorstep, the Robin Hood is the perfect base from which to explore rural Derbyshire, and the stunning Peak District National Park. We offer quality fresh food and drink, served in a relaxed and friendly environment. We always have a hand picked selection of ales served alongside our regular ales and lagers. We also offer a selection of fine wines and Lavazza Coffee. Our menus focus on freshly prepared, and where possible, locally sourced ingredients. We cook all food onsite in our clean modern kitchens, enthusiastically led by chef proprietor Martin Clayton – The Old Post restaurant and formerly Head Chef at the Cavendish Hotel. For something simpler, we also offer a variety of other lighter dishes, including hot and cold sandwiches, quiches, salads, vegetarian options, and not forgetting, genuinely home made puddings. Our Garden Room is also available for private hire for Wedding Receptions, corporate hospitality events, business meetings, walking groups, or simply for a private family lunch. With it’s own bar and views out over our gardens and Golf Course, the beautifully finished room offers flexible space to create your own special event. Dogs more than welcome.
