The club itself is an old picture house, converted to a squash club over 35 years ago.
Despite a major setback some 15 years ago due to a serious fire, the club continues to thrive as it extends its facilities to cater for a wider range of sporting and social interests.
The club has an excellent record of honours in the competitive regional and local squash leagues and has a club league so that members of all abilities can enjoy the game and get the benefit of a good workout.
More recently the club has forged ties with the game’s governing body, ‘England Squash and Racketball’ and has established itself as a major player in the increasingly popular game of racketball.
The air conditioned gym is well equipped with a range of equipment and is staffed with friendly qualified staff who will tailor a workout to suit personal needs.
