The single-storey stone building was first erected in 1910 to act as a community reading room. In time its use has changed to that of a village hall which has served the community for 100 years.

In 2003, with the aid of grant funding, it was refurbished to a high standard enabling it to meet all current regulations, with disabled access and modern catering facilities. The kitchen is equipped with a large double oven gas cooker, microwave, water boiler, fridge, hot cupboard and fast-cycle dishwasher with stainless steel benches and double sinks.

In the hall we have seating for sixty people with crockery, cutlery and matching table linen.

The facilities provide a venue suitable for functions ranging from a formal dinner party using professional outside caterers, traditional family catered events or children's parties with balloons and simple menus.

We also have a digital projector and PA system enabling DVD film shows or powerpoint presentations to be given.
