Kington St. Michael Village Hall description
Village Hall
Medium (1-150)
The Village Hall in Kington St Michael is situated at the south end of the
village very close to the Parish Church. The village is approximately three
miles from the centre of Chippenham and two miles from Exit 17 of the M4.
The facility is used by a large number of thriving local clubs and
organisations.
The building has a car park for 10 cars and has modern facilities,
consisting of a main hall, kitchen, toilets and various store rooms. There
is a walled garden which is partly paved and partly lawned. The Hall has
disabled access and associated facilities.
The Village Hall is managed by the Village Hall Management Committee as
Managing Trustees and is owned by the Parish Council as Custodian Trustees.
The community run Village Shop is adjacent to the hall and has a separate
entrance.

Room 1 Main Hall
The hall is "L" shaped (11m long and 9.4 m wide) and is well lit with a
high ceiling. There are curtains to provide blackout facilities if
required.
The hall is ideal for weddings, family and children's parties bazaars and
other sales.
The kitchen adjoins the hall with a large powered serving hatch that can be
closed off if not required. This is ideal as a bar if required.
The hall accomadates 70 seating at tables, 80 people in theatre style and
150 standing. Hall furniture is kept in the adjacent storeroom(tables and
chairs for both adults and children).
A piano is available as well as a built in public address system (static
and hand held radio microphone)
A new oak floor was installed in the hall in April 2009; photographs and
floor care instructions are included in the attachments.
Temporary Event Notices
A Temporary Event Notice (TEN) is required by law when alcohol is to be
sold on the premises and its provision is the sole responsibility of the
hirer. Application for a TEN is made through Wiltshire Council.

with a fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob with five burners,a double oven
and a warming oven. There is a hot water urn and a sink with hot and cold
water. There are plenty of work surfaces and there is cutlery, china and
utensils for 70 people that is included in the hire rate.
