The Kennet Valley Village Hall was built in 1976 and has been subject to continuous expansion and improvements over the years. The Management Committee, all of whom are local volunteers, aim to present the Hall to a very high standard, and we aim to provide a premium venue for your event – whether it is a local group meeting or a wedding reception.

The Kennet Valley Village Hall is situated in an idyllic location within the picturesque Kennet Valley, with views looking out over the halls sports field to the Marlborough Downs much enjoyed by our many users.

The adjoining sports field acts as the home venue for the Kennet Valley Cricket Club as well as a play area for youngsters. The hall also has a large floodlit car park that can accommodate around 50 cars.

Main Hall
The main hall measures aprox 14m x 8.8m (46ft x 29 ft) and can accommodate up to 120 people seated theatre style, over 100 people seated at the Hall's 18 tables, and about 200 people standing in an informal gathering.
Heating is provided by Quartz Halogen Heaters designed specifically for the Hall. Heating costs are included within the hire charge. There is a sunken skittle alley available for use on request. The adjoining stage adds to the versatility of the hall, allowing a range of local variety events such as the annual pantomime presented by The Kennet Valley Amateur Dramatics Group. Private functions such as wedding receptions and parties use the stage for discos, bands etc.

A motorized screen together with hand held and lapel microphones linked to the fitted loudspeakers is available for hire, providing full support facilities for visiting guest speakers.

Meeting Room. (Capacity 12 - 15 people)
This room is ideal for regular facility for meetings consisting of 12 to 15 people. The room can also double up as a Licensed Bar as it is directly adjacent to the main hall, for social functions.

Kitchen Facilities
The kitchen provides a 5 ring halogen Hob, a built in double oven/grill microwave oven and a recently installed commercial dishwasher. There is also a free standing fridge and freezer for use by hirers. Useful for those hirers who supply refreshments is the hydro boil unit which provides instant boiling water for teas and coffees. Apart from day to day requirements there is crockery and cutlery available for over 100 place settings.

Changing Rooms
The two changing rooms are regularly used by the Kennet Valley Cricket Club. They are also used as general cloakrooms for many functions. The room adjacent to the stage is particularly useful for costume changes during variety events. Heating in these rooms is via a £1 coin meter.

Toilet Facilities
There are ladies, gentlemen and disabled toilets at the hall. We also provide a baby change facility located in the disabled toilet.

Other Features
Wireless Internet is available at the Kennet Valley Village Hall as part of the Marlborough Area Development Trust Community WIFI scheme who provide a free WIFI hotspot. Details of how to connect to the hotspot can be located on the noticeboard located in the main entrance lobby.
