Set in the charming historic town of Bampton, an area well known for its hunting, fishing, shooting and hugely popular with ramblers and cyclists alike. The magnificent Exmoor National Park is just six miles away and the beautiful beaches of North and South Devon are only a 40 minute drive.

The Swan, being the oldest pub in Bampton, was originally lodgings to accommodate the masons and other craftsmen who were hired to enlarge the church in 1450. St Michaels church can be seen from the terrace just behind the pub.

The pub has recently been renovated to a high standard with a solid oak bar giving it a contemporary yet traditional feel. The Swan has kept the original fireplace and bread oven dating back to 1450.

With Steve overseeing the front of house, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, serving traditional pub food, fine wines and real ales all at affordable prices.
