Could it be that the English poet, Thomas Hood, had the Lairhillock in mind when he talked of, “homemade dishes that drive one from home”?
The very expression, homemade, conjures in the mind a picture of a bustling, country kitchen filled with the freshest of produce and dishes made the traditional way – starting with a scrubbed and blank preparation board.
That picture IS the Lairhillock.

Lunches are served from 12 noon until 2pm and evening meals from 6pm until 9.15pm

But there’s a lot more to the Lairhillock than our reputation established over many years for simply fabulous food.
Think of open wood fires crackling and fizzling as their flames cast capering shadows over low, beamed ceilings. Think of cosy nooks and crannies to slide into and an atmosphere than cannot help but induce that warm glow of contentment and well-being.
