The community centre was built by members of the local community 34 years ago. It is used for many different functions, ranging from wedding receptions, birthday parties, Christenings, dinner dance events, black-tie events and many more.
The centre is also used for day events including, yoga, mothers and toddlers, KU17 and childrens groups.
In 2004, a fire destroyed the community centre. It was rebuilt in 2005 and amongst other things, a world class lighting and sound system was installed courtesy of a National Lottery grant. The drama group regularly use these in their performances.
