Braemar Golf Club was founded in March 1902, during the latter part of the golfing boom in Scotland.
The first task for the committee was to identify a suitable piece of land on which to develop a golf course. The following year was devoted to getting land for the golf course and finally the land at Croft Muickan was leased in 1903.Braemar is the highest 18 hole golf course in Scotland at around 1,200 feet above sea level.The greens are amongst the finest in the area and the course is very popular with holiday makers and golfing societies.
