Ramsey Golf and Bowls Club offers you a warm friendly welcome to its picturesque parkland golf course, six counties standard bowls rinks, a recently refurbished bar and dining room and two snooker rooms to enjoy at your leisure. We are situated on the edge of the fens easily reachable from Peterborough, Huntingdon, March or St Ives. We were formed in 1922 as a Gentlemen’s Club and in 1965 a 9 hole course was opened by Dai Rees, Peter Alliss, J Morgan and Michael Bonallack - three years later Mr Rees returned with Gary Player, Dave Thomas and Brian Barnes to open the full 18 holes. The course has matured, as year after year more trees have been added and greens improved to produce a fair test of golf. Our proud boast is that we only play on permanent greens. We see the next step being reciprocal golf and are lucky to have teamed up with Thetford G C and Kettering G C and this move has helped to give our members more for theirramsey_marker_8th_dec money. Members have access to the Smartgolfer Network Club. The clubhouse (an old vicarage) is an important part of any club, and we are fortunate to have an enthusiastic entertainments committee who arrange many functions for all our members.
