All Saints Church description
Community Hall
Medium (1-150)
We’d be delighted to meet you to discuss planning your wedding. To be married in one of our churches you will need either:
To live in the parish; or
To be on the “electoral roll” (membership list) of the church; or
To have a strong connection to the parish (eg parents or grandparents worship in the church, family christened or buried here, attended school within the parish etc); or
To organise a marriage licence with the diocese.
image001The church teaches that marriage is a life long commitment and is the soundest foundation for family life. As you come to discuss your marriage the priest taking your service will want to help you reflect not only on your wedding day but on your married life together.
However, we also understand that sometimes past marriages fail for a variety of reasons. We are happy to conduct marriages where one or both parties have been divorced and in doing so will follow the guidelines given by the Church of England.
As marriage is a civil and legal agreement as well as a church service you are encouraged to call the parish office as soon as you can so we can discuss your plans together. We can also discuss all the other matters like photographs, confetti, videos, music etc when we meet.
You are bound to want to think carefully about hymns and readings (see below for some suggestions).
We are able to print simple orders of service for you if required at very reasonable rates (see costs below). We will do everything we can to ensure that the “big day” is all you would wish it to be, and more.
