Long Marston Village Hall was officially opened in May 1985, after a sustained community effort to bring it into being. Many residents gave their time, skills and resources to build and complete the Village Hall, and it stands as a testament to village life.

The Hall is situated off Butt Hedge, in the centre of the village, off Angram Road. At the village crossroads turn left, if coming from York on the B1224, and follow the signs to Village Hall, YO26 7LW.

The Hall is surrounded by superb playing fields where the Long Marston Cricket Club play their home games. The netting enclosure accommodates two lanes of outdoor cricket nets. The Hall has two changing rooms with showers for cricket and football. The generous car park has recently been resurfaced and there is an enclosed children’s play area. The Main Hall is spacious and can comfortably accommodate over 150 people. The adjoining lounge area, including a full size pool table, is useful for smaller groups up to 40, or as side room for a large event. The fully licensed bar which can serve both areas is currently open every day of the week as a social club. There is also a reasonable sized kitchen with fridge, microwave and oven. The Ladies has recently been refurbished.

Over the years the Hall has been home to many diverse activities and local clubs including indoor bowls, badminton, pool, tennis, darts and dominoes. The main users currently are Long Marston Pre-School, Ebor Archery Club, Long Marston Cricket Club, Long Marston Social Club and private parties. There are also regular sessions for Line Dancing, Pilates and social meetings for Yorkshire Countrywomen Association and Marston Moor Probus.
