Ladbroke Village Hall is located on the Old Banbury Road opposite The Bell pub. It was first mentioned in a Trust Deed of 29th September 1925. Built in the 1930's as a hall to accommodate ex service men it fell into disuse when no longer needed for that purpose. Following closure of the school which had been used for village meetings etc a committee was formed with the object of improving the facilities at the hall and reopening it for use by villagers. Since then it has served us well for over 80 years as an important community centre. In 1987 it was recognised as a charity by the Charity Commission who advised on the details of the current constitution. Many people over the years have made valuable contributions to the Village Hall Committee which continues to oversee and manage the upkeep and use of the hall. Most recently we have improved the venue with an accessible entrance and toilet, a full kitchen refurbishment and better parking facilities. A new stage curtain plus lighting and a PA system make the space suitable for a number of functions.

Our Village Hall provides us with an essential facility to host a range of activities including regular meetings of the Women’s Institute, Table Tennis, Photography Club, Yoga/Pilates and Parish Council. Many village parties have also been held in the Hall, whether to celebrate birthdays young and old/ Christmas or to fund raise for local organisations. We have also hosted a variety of social events including Safari Suppers, Quiz Nights, Film nights, a very enjoyable Race night complete with customised wooden horses, a Village Treasure Hunt and several Summer Fete/BBQs. We have also produced two very successful Pantomimes with local talent taking centre stage. These events raise vital funds for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the hall.

We can accommodate 90 people at seated events, 120 standing. Our comfortable chairs, and tables both small and large, mean seating arrangements can be flexible. Our large tables are perfect for laying out food, buffet style, or items for sale/display; we also hire them out. We have a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge and microwave and crockery, cutlery and glasses. Food can be served through the hatch into the main hall. Bar licenses are applied for on an event by event basis.
