The South Reading Children's Centres are based in the heart of the Whitley Community. The Sure Start Whitley Centre and the Blagdon Centre are combined to provide a service for all families across the South Reading area. The Children’s Centres bring together childcare, early education, health and family support services for families with children under 5 years old. We work with parents-to-be, parents/carers and children.

Our new Children's Centre term time programme is now available for you to take a look at on our 'Family Activities' page ready for when the Easter holidays have finished.
There have been a few changes so please take a look. We are very excited to be starting MAD Academy at the Hexham Road Community Centre on Tuesday's, they will be providing weekly music and dance classes.
If you have any questions about our programme or our groups please let us know. They are also ready and waiting for you to pick one up from our Centre.

Facebook update
Our Facebook page is a great way for you to check each morning to see what we are up to throughout the day and for us to share any last minute updates. We have now got 450 likes so we would like to say a big welcome to everyone who has recently joined.

Feeling hot, hot, hot!
We are starting to have warmer and sunnier days and although it's not full blown summer, children's skin is very delicate and can easily burn. Please remember to start bringing sun hats and sun cream for your little ones to our Children’s Centre sessions.
