Watlington House is run by the Watlington House Management Committee – a group of volunteers who give their own time to run this beautiful site in the centre of Reading

The house dates from the late 1600's and Mid 1700s. It is Grade II* listed and is set in trust, meaning no one owns or profits from the building. The Watlington House Management Committee was formed in 1929 to oversee the building and running costs, and ensure the aims of the building are met.

The garden hall was erected in the late 1800s. It is a tin tabernacle available for groups to hire on an hourly / daily basis. It is set in gardens which were restored in 2013 to reflect the story 1680s history of the house

The hall is a very flexible space. There is seating for around 70 people and tables. A light projector (large blank wall) and a basic but working speaker system.
