Who's to say how intimidated the new arrivals were at the sight of the tall granite pillars on the way up to this former school, but today, the facade makes a dramatic introduction to this popular bar as well as an atmospheric backdrop for all those sitting at the dozen tables in the beer garden. Inside, the high central bar, illuminated by ceiling windows, dominates the room, with ground-floor and balcony seating all round.

We welcome (almost) everyone to join us for a party! Of our four areas which can each hold 70 people, you can hire them out absolutely free of charge. Buffets can also be provided and any decorations that you wish to put up please do not hesitate to enquire about. Unfortunately we do not accept 18th and 21st birthday parties, but that doesn't mean you cannot have a great time.

Our big screens are well regarded as the best in the city centre for when those massive sporting occasions just need the big day atmosphere. If you have experienced a Champions League Final, or a Scotland match, you know that if you cannot be at the stadium itself, joining us at The Old School House is the closest you will get.
