A Little Bit About The Club...
Pickie Bowling Club was formed in the seaside town of Bangor in Northern Ireland circa. 1943 and was originally to be located near the town's Pickie Park (hence the name). However the clubhouse eventually established itself in its current location on Broadway, between Ward Park and Bangor Golf Club. Its interior was extended and refurbished in late 2013 / early 2014 with the addition of updated locker rooms, a new lounge and a relocated bar.​ The club prides itself in being family orientated and often has family days in the summer months. It features large screen TVs and satellite programming, catering for all sporting tastes, in both lounges. Regular events are held in its spacious Function Room (with adjoining kitchen facilities) and there's even a boules / pentanque court, hidden away in a small corner behind the club's carpark, for summer evenings!
