Islwyn Inn, Blackwood description
Pub / Restaurant
Medium (1-150)
A hidden gem in the Welsh Valleys, The Islwyn Inn is a modern, friendly restaurant and bar. A former miners institute in Wyllie Village, The Islwyn Inn sits just outside the town of Blackwood, alongside the Sirhowy Valley Country Park, a great place to walk or cycle with over 1000 acres of woodland and meadows. Route 47 of the National Cycleway passes through the park.
The Islwyn Inn is a family-run business with a Welsh theme, and we are proud to source our food from local Welsh suppliers whenever possible, which is then freshly prepared on the premises.
The restaurant seats up to 60 diners, along with a private dining room, (the Breconshire Room), which can accommodate small private parties of up to 16 guests.
We are open Thursday to Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch time, but can gladly accommodate parties of 12 or more on Monday to Wednesday evenings.
