St Thomas Centre description
Hotel / Conference Centre
Medium (1-150)
The St Thomas Conference Centre is an accessible, recently-refurbished Grade 2 Georgian Church within easy reach of both Manchester City Centre and Piccadilly Station.
The Centre is managed by the Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation, which has 40 years' experience of working with the local voluntary sector.
Discounted rates are available for both GMCVO members and voluntary organisations (for information on becoming a GMCVO Member please click here).
Our Main Hall can cater for 140 people depending on the layout required. Use of Wi-fi, PA system, hearing loop, overhead projector and screen are all included in the price. There are six other meeting rooms available which can cater for up to 30 people, again depending on layout. There is a portable hearing loop system for use in Rooms 3 or 4. (See attachment below or click here for photos of the rooms)
We can also make available the following equipment at a small additional charge:
TV with video and DVD
Data projector Flipcharts
Laptop computer
Wireless internet access
We provide a complete catering service of both hot and cold food, again at very reasonable prices, and can respond to your special dietary requirements. See attachments at the bottom of the page for full details.
Car parking facility for visitors
In February 2014, we joined forces with another local business in Ardwick to provide a car park for conference delegates and other visitors to use when attending meetings/training at the St Thomas Centre. The address of the Power League car park, including walking directions to the St Thomas Centre (approximately 5 minutes), is given in the final attachment below. The parking charge is £2.50 (all day).
There is on-street parking around the St Thomas Centre, but this can get really busy and the police have now started to ticket any cars parked illegally or on the pavements.
We hope you will find this a convenient alternative option and request that you forward the details to all your delegates before they attend the St Thomas Centre.
When arriving at the Power League car park just pop into their reception for two tickets (one to be displayed in your car, the other to hand in with your payment of £2.50 on arrival at the St Thomas Centre)
