Ince Blundell Village Hall description
Village Hall
Medium (1-150)
Ince Blundell Village Hall lies in the centre of the village at 1 Victoria Road. The Village Hall is a registered charity, and its aims are to maintain the hall for the benefit and use of individuals living in the locality.
Other than one off grants, the hall is self-funding, surviving on incomes gained from hiring out the hall for functions. In 2010 the hall has been partly renovated internally, as a result of grants obtained from Sefton Council and FAC. Renovations continue and there is a three year plan to revamp the whole of the interior.
Current uses include line dancing classes, bingo, indoor bowls, archery and private functions. A licensed bar can also be booked when hiring the hall for a function. It is also used for community meetings, such as police surgeries and the parish council. Car-boot sales are held on the Second Sunday morning of each month.
In the grounds of the hall we have a children’s play area with a seating area so there is somewhere for parents and older children to sit and chat.
With growing concern for the environment there are recycling banks situated to the rear of the hall. These cater for glass, paper, and clothing.
Part of the hall building is leased out to the Ince Blundell Social Club. Licensed to sell alcohol, the Club has snooker and darts teams in local leagues.
