The History
Tucked away in a quiet corner, just off Kelso’s town square, you will find The Cobbles; a modernised 19th century coaching inn.

Purchased by Annika and Gavin Meiklejohn in May 2007, The Cobbles has become a much talked about, award-winning eatery that offers some of the best gastro-pub and restaurant dining in Scotland.

We believe in sourcing produce locally and using the freshest seasonal ingredients wherever possible.

TEMPEST BREW CO. As the brewery tap for craft brewers, Tempest, we are delighted to offer fresh craft beer ‘at source’.

HARDIESMILL, Gordon. Home-reared and finished, grass-fed pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle, creating super tasty and more unusual cuts of beef.

BURNSIDE FARM FOODS, Kelso. Scotland’s leading game specialists right on our backdoor.

CARROLL’S HERITAGE POTATOES. Traditional varieties of Heritage Potatoes grown in North Northumberland.

DR COLLINS OF EYEMOUTH. Eyemouth landed fish and shellfish.

JULIAN’S VEG, Kelso. Amazing quality fresh fruit and vegetables from our local supplier.

LINTZ HALL FARM, Derwent Valley. Fresh, free-range eggs from a family farm near Newcastle.

OVERLANGSHAW FARMHOUSE. Luxury ice creams using their own creamy milk and fresh farm eggs.

SHAWS FINE MEATS, Lauder. Outdoor-reared free-range pork from the Scottish Borders. Grade A Poultry reared to the highest animal welfare standards from Northeast England. Lamb and Beef from Scottish Borders farms within a 30-mile radius of Lauder.

PRIVATE DINING

Private Dining
At The Cobbles, we have a tastefully refurbished upstairs function room, which is the perfect venue for private dining, small wedding receptions, anniversaries and business dinners for up to 35 guests. We also cater for funeral teas and other finger buffet style personal gatherings for up to 40 guests.

During the busy summer months, the function room is used as a dining room. We advise contacting us in advance to discuss booking this lovely private dining space.
