Booking your wedding at Duns Castle couldn’t be simpler or more enjoyable: Simply check the availability of the castle and take your wedding planning forward with our competent administrator, you can also book the castle accommodation or the on-site self-serving holiday cottages. This stunning and historic castle plus its grounds will be exclusively yours, and yours alone, for the duration of your booking.

The tranquillity of the castle makes it a classic choice of wedding venue, where the dining takes place in the Great Hall, which is richly festooned with carving and exquisite details. As the perfect candle lit backdrop to your wedding dinner, this room can be arranged according to the number of guests attending your nuptials, and can seat as many as sixty; greater than sixty guests can be accommodated in a marquee by arrangement.

The castle is pleased to offer a complimentary planning service for your wedding, and can arrange a piper and a display of Scottish dancing. It even has its own dedicated and highly experienced wedding florist, Fiona Gourlay (optional service). A sprung dance floor and bar are also available for your wedding reception.

From the drawing room the wide vista of formal landscaped lawns, the lake, and views of the 1900 acres of the estate beyond can be admired. Rich in wildlife and game, it is delightful year round for wedding photography.

The Laird’s bedroom, now the Blue Four Poster Room, is the perfect bridal chamber with en-suite facilities. There are a further eleven rooms for your guests, including four-poster bedrooms, and two tower rooms with magnificent views of the estate, which are attained by a stone spiral staircase. Ten of the rooms have en-suite facilities, while two have private bathrooms. Further guest accommodation is available in the estate cottages. A full cooked Scottish breakfast is served for all guests in the castle.
