The Urr Valley Country House Hotel is a long established hotel set in 14 acres of mature woodland and gardens. With its stunning views across the Galloway countryside, it is an ideal location for short breaks, longer holidays, weddings and conferences. Sporting groups and coach parties are welcome.

Within walking distance of one of the region’s most attractive towns, the hotel makes an ideal base for touring the attractions of Dumfries and Galloway and we welcome walkers and cyclists throughout theyear.

Within a short drive to the beautiful and lonely wilds of the Glenkens, this has long been a forgotten part of Scotland and is therefore relatively unspoiled with a wide variety of fantastic wildlife and spectacular landscape ranging from the mountains and moorland; woodland and forest; burns, rivers, to lochs and farmland.

ACCOMMODATION

The Urr Valley Hotel Country House Hotel in Castle Douglas has 17 en-suite (shower/bath tub) bedrooms, all non smoking, ranging from single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms, family rooms and the romantic suite.

(Rooms and Public Areas are currently being refurbished).

All of the hotel rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and TV.

Bookings
The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings whether made online or made by telephone or in person.

Guests may book in advance or on arrival. Rooms are subject to availability and the hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason. Although payment is generally required on departure, there may be occasions when the guests are required to fully prepay or provide a deposit at the time of the booking, or, on arrival at The Hotel.

Cancellation/ Non-Arrival
All Bookings are cancellable without charge up to 24 hours before the day of arrival. Cancellation and non-arrival charges apply after this time and will be charged to the credit / debit card supplied at the time of booking. The Hotel reserves the right to charge for one night’s accommodation per room booked and in some cases eg. minimum stay, for the full amount, if the above cancellation requirements are not met.


No Smoking Policy

The Urr Valley Hotel is a No Smoking Hotel and reserves the right to ask guests to leave the premises if it is believed/found that smoking is taking place inside the building.

The facilities at Urr Valley Hotel Country House Hotel allows us to offer a great service and venue for both weddings and business meetings.

We have a large conference Hall and small conference suite both with wifi and the function room consists of seating for up to 180 people, and a dance floor if required.

We can easily cater for corporate events, office parties and special occasions.

Business Meetings
Urr Valley Country House Hotel is an excellent business venue in beautiful surroundings that will impress your clients and inspire your delegates.

Our conference rooms are available for daytime meetings, seminars, training sessions and residential conferences. We can accommodate up to180 people.

The hotel offers wifi, overhead projector and refreshments/lunch and of course we can hire in any additional equipment required and will ensure that your function runs smoothly during your stay with us.
