A VERY WARM WELCOME TO THE DOUGLAS HOTEL
Original, relaxed and sitting comfortably within its environment... a touch of luxury combined with a homely charm.
We opened in May 2011 after an extensive refurbishment and with a clear idea of what we wanted to provide - a hotel with a heart.
We work hard to get that balance right - the perfect blend of ‘laid back relaxation’ combined with ‘professional and attentive'.
Voted 'Best New Hotel 2012' in the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards, we also received a "Gold Award for Room Design" and a "Gold Laurel for Outstanding Achievement – Restoration of Hotel".

In 2013 we were delighted to be voted 'Boutique Hotel of the Year 2013' and were also awarded a "Gold Laurel Award for Good Food".
