This 17th century town house retains the charm of its period whilst offering the quality, service and attention expected of a privately owned and family managed hotel.
Maitlandfield House has a varied selection of ensuite bedrooms, an award winning modern Brasserie, Private Dining Rooms and purpose built Conference and Meeting rooms.
The Great Hall is our largest function room and can accommodate up to 180 guests for a Drinks Reception, Wedding or Banquet.
Our modern Brasserie offers casual dining where local and Scottish produce are imaginatively and sympathetically prepared, simply presented bringing out the very best of truly great ingredients.
The surrounding area has many attractions including famous Golf Courses including Muirfield, Dunbar and North Berwick. Other local activities include, Karting, Wakeboard Park, Off Road Driving, Clay Pigeon Shooting and many more. For the less energetic there is Glenkinchie Distillery, Museum of Flight, Scottish Seabird Centre, East Links Family Park, Tantallon Castle, Dirleton Castle and many other historic sites in the local area.
WEDDINGS
The Romantic Maitlandfield House is Haddington's Premiere Wedding Venue, easily accessible from all parts of central Scotland. Being a former town house we offer splendid surroundings that really come into their own when it comes to that romantic celebration. Imagine the setting, an historic house, an abundance of seasonal colours in the landscaped gardens perfect venue for wedding photographs and arrival drinks. It is also a great venue for marquee receptions providing the perfect backdrop against which to capture beautiful memories of a very special day.
What we offer has been designed to give you a varied choice when planning your wedding meal, refreshments and evening catering. Our Head Chef will be happy to discuss your ideas to create a bespoke wedding breakfast.
MEETINGS
Maitlandfield House Hotel offers a flexible range of meeting options that are suited to a variety of corporate requirements, including day meetings, residential meetings, private dining, conferences and corporate events.
We have 4 meeting rooms at Maitlandfield House. The boardroom is situated on the first floor of the hotel and the other 3 are on the ground floor.
The Great Hall - The largest room can seat 180 people. The Great Hall can be set up for meetings, training sessions, corporate and social events and makes a stunning setting for dinner events.
The Tynesuite Boardroom– Designed with wall mounted flipcharts and screens. Seats 22 people around an octagonal boardroom style table
The Music Room - The smallest room can seat 24 people boardroom style or 40 theatre style
The Kings Library Room - The middle sized room can seat 24 people boardroom style or 32 U shape
