Welcome to Aswanley, home of the Ingleby family. Aswanley is situated in the unspoilt valley of the River Deveron, on the edge of the Scottish Highlands near Huntly, Aberdeenshire. It's been a much-loved family home for many generations and it's a wonderful place for weddings and holidays in the Highlands.

An exclusive Scottish wedding venue

We have a magnificent Victorian steading, which we have transformed into one of the most flexible and spacious Scottish wedding venues. The wedding party has exclusive use of the wedding venue - it can be used for religious and civil wedding ceremonies, or solely as a wedding reception venue. The wedding venue includes everything you need for a wedding, from chairs & tables to a well equipped catering kitchen, including cutlery, crockery and glassware.

Luxury self catering holiday cottages

There are three self-catering holiday cottages on the Aswanley estate. Choose from Jocky Milne's - one of the most romantic Highland cottages about; Wester Park - a spacious holiday cottage ideal for a family wedding party or groups of friends; or Stratinnan - a short walk from Aswanley and the River Deveron ... extra convenient if you're looking for somewhere to stay for an Aswanley wedding or are on a fishing holiday.

Corporate Entertainment

At Aswanley, we offer unique corporate team building activities in partnership with Land Rover Experience Scotland. The purpose built 4WD course is situated on Jock's Hill, high above the Aswanley Steading. It offers excitement, challenges and breathtaking views of the Highlands towards Ben Rinnes. We also hire our exceptional facilities to events companies who wish to run their own corporate entertainment days.

Traditional highland field sports

We offer tailor made fly fishing, shooting and stalking holidays, let along with our luxury self catering holiday cottages. We specialise in providing fly-fishing, shooting and stalking outings in a relaxed family atmosphere - in a way that was traditional for Highland families. These outings can be arranged to suit your group. We cater for all levels of experience from children trying fishing for the first time to experienced stalkers looking for a challenge.

WEDDINGS

At Aswanley, Aberdeenshire we have created an unusual Scottish wedding venue suitable for both sumptuous wedding receptions and intimate family gatherings. We can look after small wedding parties or 250 guests for a wedding reception, dining and dancing.

We have many years experience entertaining friends and guests at Aswanley, so we really do understand what makes a great wedding .. and therefore a great wedding venue! You will have exclusive use of the wedding venue and the flexibility and space to plan your wedding reception as you wish.

The wedding venue consists of the grounds of Aswanley, a sixteenth century fortified house and the impressive restored Victorian barn, known as a ‘steading’ in the local Aberdeenshire dialect.

The Aswanley Steading, boasts all the features of a country house wedding venue and the comfort you would expect to find in a private estate in the Scottish Highlands - but with the scale, flexibility and exclusive use that most Scottish wedding venues cannot offer.
