The Cotswold Hall is an important part of the history of Northleach. It began life in 1886 when it was known as Northleach Institute. Today it is is “owned” by the people of Northleach and is managed on their behalf by a number of Trustees.

The Hall received a significant facelift in 1894 with the erection of an additional storey; and in 1897 the large period clock was installed as a celebration of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Cotswold Hall has undergone major improvement work. It has full central heating, new ladies and disabled toilets, and a new roof over the bar room. The entrance porch, stairs, main hall and bar have been refurbished and decorated. A lift makes access to both floors easy for the disabled and elderly people with difficulties.

The Cotswold Hall is now a registered charity, and serves the community in many ways.

ROOMS FOR HIRE – The Main Hall is large enough to seat 100. It adjoins a fully licensed bar and kitchen. It is suitable for dinner/dances, children’s parties, wedding receptions and birthday celebrations. The Stephenson Room is also available for smaller meetings. Parking may be arranged by prior notice behind the Fire Station.
