This beautiful Queen Anne-era gem is steeped in over 300 years of history. Burgh House was used as a private residence for much of its life, but it is now open to the public four days a week as an independent charitable trust for arts, heritage and the community.
HIRE
Hidden among the cobbled streets of Hampstead Village, just steps away from the breathtaking views of the Heath, lies the Grade I-listed Burgh House & Hampstead Museum.
Steeped in 300 years of history, Burgh House's beautiful, historic rooms provide a unique and elegant backdrop for both private and public events – and our dedicated staff guarantee the highest level of service to ensure that your day is truly memorable.
The traditional, wood-panelled Music Room makes the perfect backdrop for weddings and private parties as well as for recitals and plays
The smaller Library makes a tasteful, cosy setting for meetings, gatherings and small weddings
The modern Peggy Jay Gallery is the perfect location for art exhibitions, wedding receptions and parties
We can accomodate 110 people for standing receptions and up to 72 for seated events.
Our dedicated on-site caterers are here to create the perfect event for you, from the smallest drinks reception to lavish sit-down dinners.
As a self-funding charity, private hire makes up the majority of Burgh House’s income, so you can be sure that your special day has helped us to continue our work in the community and keep this beautiful house open to the public for free.
