The Royal Institution is an independent charity dedicated to connecting people with the world of science.The Royal Institution was founded in March 1799 with the aim of introducing new technologies and teaching science to the general public.

The Grade I Heritage listed property has been home to some of
the greatest scientists and scientific discoveries for over 200 years. With its remarkable history, graceful Georgian architecture, stunning interiors and central London location, the Royal Institution is the perfect venue for your wedding day. Exclusive hire of the building will guarantee that you are the only wedding and can style the venue from top to bottom to create a truly unique setting for your special day.

The Royal Institution boasts a variety of ceremony locations including the beautiful book-lined Library and the famous Faraday Theatre. Our expert caterers, Elior, will work with you to create a menu that suits the style of your day and your individual tastes. With a late licence, you can take full advantage of exclusive hire and party the night away in the contemporary ground floor rooms.

We can cater exquisitely for an intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast for up to 80 guests and larger evening parties with dance floor for up to 150. For weddings of 150 and above we can host large ceremonies of up to 400 in the Theatre with capacity of up to 600 for canapé and drinks receptions.

For £6,000 on a weekend you can hire the Royal Institution. This package includes:
