Our modern and purpose-built lecture theatre is the perfect venue for talks, conferences and presentations set in the main building of St Fagans National Museum of History.
The theatre can host up to 120 and comes fully equipped with a built-in projector, screen, PA system and lectern. Located just a matter of steps away from our main entrance and atrium up a short staircase, the theatre is also fully accessible via lift directly from the ground floor and can host up to 6 wheelchair users. Toilets are located right outside the theatre and an access toilet is included.

Set within the historic grounds of St Fagans National Museum of History, The Vulcan’s doors are open once more and available for private hire.
Step back in time and let the 1915 historical interpretation of The Vulcan wow your guests with a your very own exclusive lock-in.
From intimate parties and family occasions, to networking evenings and corporate events, you and your guests won’t forget a night spent in this iconic Cardiff institution. From the main bar to the smoke room and beer garden, the venue can host up to 70 guests. For music and speeches we can offer our own in-house speaker equipment or our team can recommend some live entertainment suited for the space.
With catering available varying from our very own onsite Fish & Chip shop to award-winning third-party caterers, ask our team about all the options available and pick the one for you.
St Fagans Castle is a Grade I listed building. It’s called a castle to this day because it was built on the ruins of an old Norman motte and bailey castle and to this day also remains a distinguished event venue.
Ideally suited for weddings, ceremonies and intimate special occasions, the Castle has two main spaces for hire.
The Castle Hall is a grand ceremony setting, decorated in dark oak with an intricately carved chimneypiece bearing the family coat of arms, and can host up to 50 for a ceremony.
The bright and elegant Dining Room, completed in 1896, can host up to 60 guests in a variety of set-ups. Whether taking your vows or gathering friends and family for an intimate occasion of dining and celebration, or even hosting a meeting to impress, you won’t find a more versatile space in an historic venue. Modern AV equipment and Wi-Fi are available.
These spaces pair perfectly in the summer with the gardens for a truly grand event within the castle grounds.
The castle can be accessed either via a short walk from the main building on site or via the gates from St Fagans village. Car access and parking through the castle courtyard and driveway are also possible.

As Wales’s biggest provider of learning outside the classroom, we have a variety of spaces set up for workshopping, meetings, presentations and team-building, including our modern studios located in our main building.
Light and airy rooms, equipped with AV equipment and adaptable for theatre-style, classroom, or board room set-ups.
The studios are a very short walk away from our main entrance and atrium up a short staircase. In regard to accessibility, there is a lift directly from the ground floor. Toilets are located on the same level; they include an access toilet.
