In the mountains of Mid Wales, at the very southern end of Snowdonia, is a most beautiful lake - Tal-y-Llyn, at the foot of Cader Idris, the second highest mountain in Wales.
Located on the banks of this stunning water is Ty'n y Cornel Hotel, deep in the fold of dramatic, steep-sided mountains.
The 222 acre lake is owned by the hotel, and is noted for its superb wild brown trout fishing. Our guests enjoy priority access to Tal-y-Llyn's waters together with fine river fishing.
The hotel is known for its friendly Welsh atmosphere, and has been extensively refurbished. Rooms are equipped to a four star standard. In the public rooms, comfortable chairs and fine antiques make a charming haven to enjoy a meal, a glass of wine, or a traditional Welsh cream tea.
